Oliver's

Oliver's is a fun, casual, reasonable-priced dining establishment where the menu is a twist on our favorites and the décor lifted from the pages of the old Classic itself.

Centrally located in Portland’s theatre and art district, Oliver's is a two level eatery, with a lot of something for everyone.

Entering into the first floor Patisserie, the aroma of daily fresh baked pastries & sweet treats will entice you though the door. Hazelnut tarts, Pain Au Chocolat & Key Lime Bars, just to name a few. Walls adorned with cookery photos of the 1800’s, and a casual setting for a quick bite or take out orders.

Follow the stairs down into the dining room, where black leather booths are nestled in with gold framed period photos of workhouses, laborers and comical characters of a time long passed.

On the wall is young Oliver and his workhouse chaps, who hungry for the menu himself….bowl in hand, would surely shout not whisper “Can I have some more please?” Only wishing Mr. Dickens had allowed him to have it so good.

The menu offers comfort food with a twist. Steak with gorgonzola cheese and a Portobello balsamic reduction, Maple Roasted Pork Chops with Sautéed Apples, Lobster Potpie, Pastas and gourmet pizza’s. Each item has been carefully crafted using only the finest ingredients and a few that may surprise you.

Libations are not to be missed. A vibrant red glass tile lit bar is a focal point of the dining room. The Twisted Martini with gin & vodka is a favorite.

Specials are not once.but twice a day. $3.00 appetizers from 3pm-6pm and a late night Cheap Eats menu served from 9pm to close.
